At the University of Toronto Mississauga, applicants choose one of 13 admission categories, then select a Program of Study after first year.

5courses in the U of T Engineering admission average

Your average and each prerequisite can have separate rules.

University of Toronto Engineering calculates its admission average from five named Grade 12 courses. Waterloo Geological Engineering separately requires at least 70% in each named prerequisite.

Ivey AEO weights academics and leadership equally, requires verified activity references, and includes a mandatory video interview. Queen's publishes the rubric used for Commerce, on-campus Health Sciences, and four-year Nursing.

How long does it actually take?: About two minutes. Nine questions are multiple choice; the last step asks for a first name and two email addresses so we can confirm your submission.
Does it cost anything?: No. The readiness check and the 15-minute call are both free, and no payment details are ever requested.
Who is this for?: Ontario students in Grade 11 or Grade 12 and their families. If you are applying somewhere else, the planning questions still apply, but the examples are written around the Ontario system and OUAC.
What does the score mean?: It measures how specific and organized your plan is right now across six areas. It is not a prediction of admission, and BeaconEd does not guarantee any admission outcome.
What happens to my answers?: They are stored so BeaconEd can score your result and follow up about the free call. Your score and answers are never sent to the parent or guardian email, and BeaconEd does not use third-party advertising pixels.
