Hey, I'm Matt, the founder of BeaconEd!
I started this because I went through the same stressful process you're probably dealing with right now: trying to figure out programs, scholarships, and what actually gives you the best shot. I remember putting in a ton of work: strong grades, leadership, everything I thought mattered, and still feeling like the outcome didn't fully reflect that. It made me realize how unclear and unpredictable this whole system can be.
That experience pushed me to think differently. Why are students expected to figure this out on their own, with scattered info and generic advice?
So I built BeaconEd to change that. I wanted something that actually understands who you are, your strengths, your goals, your story, and gives you real direction. My goal is simple: make sure you're not guessing your way through decisions that matter.
Because you shouldn't have to figure it all out alone!
